Erasmus+ Training Course “Effective Communication Tools for You(th)” took place in , Radava, Slovakia, between 23rd and 31st August 2019.

About the project
The project was mobility of youth workers aimed on development of communication and interpersonal competences of 30 youth workers, educators, teachers and project managers from 14 European countries. The project took place in Radava, Slovakia in dates of 23rd – 31st of August 2019. The aim of the project was to share best practices in communication among youth NGOs in Europe and thus to empower participating organisations and their communities with more professional workers. Training course was composed around themes such as communication skills, assertiveness, manipulation, online communication tools and fighting against xenophobia and radicalisation in our society. Activities were implemented by non-formal education methods such as workshops, games, discussions, role plays, presentations and others.
Objectives
Participants understood and adapted practical methods and techniques of non-verbal communication (body language), assertiveness, manipulation in communication, communication in stress situations and will be able to use them in real life.
Participants understood roles and different approaches of various online communication channels and tools.
The participants also developed cooperation with partner organisations and to enhance creation of future common project ideas.
To promote Erasmus+ program and non-formal education as a great opportunity to foster & internationalise open communication in Europe, to support intercultural dialogue and eliminate hate speech.

Every participant received a Youthpass Certificate, which confirms participation. The document can be of benefit in terms of the educational or employment future of the participant. Through Youthpass the European Commission ensures the youth exchange activity is recognised as a non-formal learning experience.
